OH THE JOY

Sun kissed and wrapped in joy is this love, Wrapped in the early mists of dawn, I wake to the Springtime song of sparrows, Go to sleep while the stars overhead they twinkle, I dive endlessly into the billowy softness of clouds, The world is my launching pad, I feel myself going up,up,up into forever, Flying higher and higher I soar like the eagle, See her glide, Watch me go...up,up, into forever

Lord Keep My Eyes Fixed On You

Keep your eye steadily fixed on the infinite grandeur of Christ's finished work and righteousness. Look to Jesus and believe, look to Jesus and live! Nay, more; as you look to him, hoist your sails and buffet manfully the sea of life. Do not remain in the haven of distrust, or sleeping on your shadows in inactive repose, or suffering your frames and feelings to pitch and toss on one another like vessels idly moored in a harbor. The religious life is not a brooding over emotions, grazing the keel of faith in the shallows, or dragging the anchor of hope through the oozy tide mud as if afraid of encountering the healthy breeze. Away! With your canvas spread to the gale, trusting in Him, who rules the raging of the waters. The safety of the tinted bird is to be on the wing. "I knew Jesus, and He was very precious to my soul; but I found something in me that would not keep sweet and patient and kind. I did what I could to keep it down, but it was there. Patiently Waiting

via Somewhere beyond the sea, far beyond where eyes can see, I know he waits for me, Somewhere beyond the shore, on a distant horizon their is a door that stands open, And I wait for the day when destiny and history collide, The day I run to outstretched arms I've always known, Scale up mountains, and cross valleys wide I wait for you,

Holding On

Shelter

What can I say when words aren't nearly enough? What can I do to show You my love? Out of a sea of people You reach for me, Heal my battered heart and dry away all my tears, Paint me a bright tomorrow and calm all my fears, Into the shelter of your wings You gather me, Breathing the calmest peace inside of me, I rest in Your love because it's more than enough, Image via

He Steadies My Heart

Their are days when try as I might, I can't do it by myself...days when the what ifs' and what might have beens' come knocking. Those days, when my vision becomes dim, I turn to the One who steadies my heart.
