God Put A Smile Upon My Face :)

I'm learning to be thankful of even the smallest blessing in my life, knowing that all these tender mercies rain down on me from above. Though the storm rages, and the thunder rolls, I can rest assured that I am safe from all harm in His arms.

For faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

The Sun Is Always Shining... Somewhere In The World

My sentiments exactly... :)

"...every day is a second chance."

To Be a Girl

I'm just a girl,

Just a girl who laughs outloud at the playful touch of a snowflake against her cheek,

I'm just a girl,

Just a girl who lives for the beautiful moments of life,

I'm just a girl,

Just a girl born on an island in the middle of the sea,

A girl who was born running ahead while looking behind her,

Just a girl,

A girl who looks to the sky for the moment she can fly high,

Twisting and twirling in the winds of change,

I'm just a girl can't you see?

Just a girl who was born on an island in the middle of the sea,

So often in life we are forced to walk down paths, and around corners without knowing what’s waiting around the bend. It’s in those times when we feel most helpless, that our weakness becomes our strength, and we have to turn over those things that are beyond our control to Someone who is far more able than we are. The One who has good plans for us, the Author of life, perfecter of faith, who’s vision far surpasses the small snapshot of our own and sees the big picture, and our perfect fit in this puzzle called life.

Gentle is the kiss of a true love,
Sweeter than honey and twice as rich,
A yearning heart in a state of unrest,
Waiting ever so patiently for one word, one moment, no matter how brief the caress,
It matters not when it comes to affairs of the heart,
Time advances and comes to a halt in the space of a breath,
Pulses accelerate and heart beats race at the thought of that someone,
That special someone who is irreplaceable,
And if it was possible you would mount up on the wings of a dove and fly,
Higher than high,
Because with love neither time nor distance is a factor,
With love you close your eyes...and leap,

I unlocked your promises from my treasure chest,
They sparkle and shine in the light of your eyes,
Untarnished and unsullied even though they've crossed the rivers of my doubts and climbed the steep hills of my fears,
I worried that they might have disappeared but like your words they are tangible, very much alive,

Hope Of A Savior

What can I write Lord to tell of Your glory?
What could I say Lord to display Your grace?
Night after night You show me Your mercy,
Day after day I search for Your face,
From the depths You've brought me,
From the bottom of the sea,
Buoyed on the waves of Your loving kindness-a real mystery,
Your love You've given freely,
Your great compassion abundantly,
Never letting go-no, You've always carried me,
And so I wait for You daily,
Listening for the sound of Your footsteps,
Knowing that You've promised to grant me the most serene of rests,
It's in His eyes that I see what I've never seen before,
The hope of tomorrow and the assurance of a life eternal,

Beautiful Things

What Do You Hope For?

What is hope?
Is it the tangible promise of all you've ever wanted?
Does it encompass all your dreams? Or is it the lone candle valiantly shining despite the darkest night?
The vessel tossed amidst the highest waves?
Or is it something more...something unexplainable?
Trusting, while all around your world falls apart,
Trusting enough to take the first step out into the unknown, even though you can't see your way,
Yes, it's now I see that trust and hope go hand in hand,
For no one knows how the story will end except the Author of life,
And so I begin to step at a time

What Good Do 'What Ifs' Do?

I love this song, it's all about letting go of past mistakes that weigh you down so you can flyyyyyy. :)

I hold a dove within my hands,
Gently stroke it's downy feathers,
Stare into eyes so dark they mirror my image,
This dove symbolizes all I've ever wanted,
It breathes the calmest peace into my world,
Settles the hammering of my heart with it's gentle coos,
The touch of it's wing to my cheek the most delicate of caresses,
It is my hope for a new day,

Somestimes it's the little things that matter the most

Deep inside their shines a light brighter than any eye has ever seen,
Deep inside their dwells a hope and the blessed assurance of victory,
Come what may, never mind the day, I know, I'm sure, He lives in me,

I love the changing seasons, but their is just something special about Spring.
I wake up to the sweet symphony of a dozen birds, the trees are dressed their very best-decked out in the prettiest blossoms, and it's as if all of nature is the new star of a sold out play. "SPRING IS HERE"
It's a time of re-birth and renewal, and I can't help but feel optimistic about the future.
It's inspiring to know that no matter how dark and cold the season of Winter may be, that Spring is waiting just around the corner.

His eyes sparkle like diamonds,
His smile brings the sun from behind the clouds,
His laugh makes the birds sing,
This child of mine,
I want to cover him in bubble wrap,
Protect him from harm,
Shelter him from cruelty,
This child of mine,
I wish I could catch him every time he fell,
Be his shelter from the wind,
This child of mine,
Yet I cannot-but I will not fret,
Because this child of mine is hope him fly,

Last night I heard a robin singing in the rain,
And the raindrop's patter made a sweet refrain,
Making all the sweeter the music of the strain.

So, I thought, when trouble comes, as trouble will,
Why should I stop singing? Just beyond the hill
It may be that sunshine floods the green world still.

He who faces the trouble with a heart of cheer
Makes the burden lighter. If there falls a tear,
Sweeter is the cadence in the song we hear.

I have learned your lesson, bird with dappled wing,
Listening to your music with its lilt of spring
When the storm-cloud darkens, then's the TIME to sing.
